"Give me no beginning and no end and I shall be content" - me

I'm sure you have felt this timelessness before. You feel free, content and hence happy. A state people achieve when they meditate. I happened to read about such experiences through different channels.

In our busy routines, getting to experience something like this is rare. However, engrossing yourself in doing something you enjoy and forget about everything else around is also called as meditation. You feel an unusual, unparalleled zeal when you wake up from that state and complete peace when in it.

3D Drawing

Let's do something fun today..

Here's my 10 minute 3D Drawing.

All you need is

1. A sketch of your choice or you can draw one.
2. A gift wrapping paper
3. Scissors
4. Glue or transparent adhesive tape

If you can draw well then your imagination will bring out finer creation. You can select a particular area of drawing (I have chosen the dress here) for projection and used a piece of paper( you may use other objects of your choice) to project it. It's a great mess-free project idea for kids.

Happy Crafting!

"Always keep your eyes open"

Yes, this is the only thing my parents ever taught me! I was never sent to high ranked, top class schools in town. I was never sent to fancy summer camps, neither did I get formal training in music or dance, sports or computers.

My mom never gave me a formal training for cooking. Generally, when girls get closer to ages 12 -13 moms call their daughters in the kitchen and ask for a little help. My mom never did that. I don't remember if I was ever told to do so. I wish I had helped her a bit. Don't know how she does it all! She did not hand me a recipe book either at the time of my wedding.

I was never forced to clean the house. Never asked to help her in washing clothes or utensils. I was only told this - "keep your eyes open". We as kids always watched her working long hours doing household chores. Cooking, cleaning, washing, wiping, dusting and what not. There was some consistency in everything that she was doing and what was it? - excellence!

Dad never taught us how to keep things organized, how to be independent, how to be self reliant, how to be patient, how to be honest, how to be devoted.

My parents never sat down with me and taught me the ways of this world. I can tell you my life is not miserable at all! I'm sure parenting is a tough job and there are different ways of handling that. However, I feel that 'leading by example' works the best. We were never influenced by a particular thought process. Giving the freedom of thought and expression helps inculcate accountability and values.

Constant observation of the world around you (without having a biased vision) translates into personal growth. Different people have different opinions on this topic. To me, having a clean slate at all times makes you take good notes of this world for the knowledge bank that you create over the years after processing the information you collect in your life.

I love to keep my eyes open. I experience self enrichment and satisfaction by doing that. That is all for today. Have a wonderful day!
